Kampinos National Park
The park is located in the vicinity of Warsaw and encompasses the Kampinoska Forest, spreading over the Wisla river pro-glacial valley.
Belts of inland dunes, overgrown with pinewoods, add to the attractiveness of the park's landscape.
In the depressions between the dunes there are peat bogs, meadows, and marshes covered with a growth of alder.
The park's flora abounds in rare protected species. Its wildlife includes such animals as elk, beaver, and lynx.
