Another example of a sumptuous magnate residence, the Pszczyna castle houses a museum of interior decorations from different periods of the castle’s existence.

This town rich in historic buildings lies on the road and railway line running from Katowice to Bielsko-Biała. Surrounded by a park lies the magnate residence of the Hochberg von Pless family - the princes of Pszczyna (formerly Pless), who once owned extensive lands famous for breeding European bison. The rich interiors of the castle rooms, now a museum, are dazzling.
