Swiety Krzyż National Park
The territory of the park includes the Lysogóry Mountains with Mount Lysica (612 m. above sea level), the highest range of the Swietokrzyskie Mountains, and fragments of the adjoining valleys.
The Swietokrzyskie Mountains, the oldest mountains in Poland, were formed of palaeozoic rocks.
Worth particular attention are the small, totally deforested areas (goloborza), covered with quartzite boulders and completely stripped of green vegetation.
The Lysogóry Range is covered with fir forests mixed with pine, beech and larch.
The park's rich plant population includes many rare species of mountain and lowland plants.
The king of the wildlife in the Swietokrzyski National Park is the red deer.
